They were so many great pics! Some were taken at "Memory Grove" were Leif proposed to Cristine during the holidays. We are less than two months before the big date...still a lot to do, but things are falling in place little by little...

A Bridal Shower

We had Cristine's Bridal Shower over the weekend. It was a time to enjoy with wonderful girlfriends that were here to celebrate my daughter and her upcoming wedding. My fab friends Julie and Claudia made sure the food was great and their cupcakes were delicious... Lot's of talking, visiting and laughing and of course lots of fun great gifts and food. Very bless indeed...

Coronado-California

Just spend a week in sunny California, just the two of us and it was lovely...We needed to get away from work and wedding planning. It was a carefree trip and enjoyable all the way. We visited Coronado,  a beautiful beach to walk in the sand and really feel like we were the only ones there.

A little birthday book.

Had fun today finishing this little Birthday book for a beautiful  5 year old little girl. It was all done with Echo Park papers. Love the colors and also the design with several pages in complete different sizes. This makes the book fun for little hands.Some of the pages are really, really small inside the book. I think she will love that. She can now add pictures from her birthday party.

Spring

The beauty of spring is here, love the cherry blossoms and their pink beauty. Very busy times with wedding preparations, just stopping for a moment to enjoy the serenity of spring...

Scrapbooking Expo

All of you know my love for paper crafting...yesterday Krystel and I went to the Scrapbook Expo and we had lots of fun looking at ideas from favorite vendors and lots of new ones. For a year or so I contemplated the idea of buying  Sweet Tooth Boxes and The Flower Shoppe cartridge for the Cricut machine. With the first you can make all kind of little boxes for all type of treats, like cookies, cupcakes and the one I posted here for a cake slice...The second is for flower making and awww....it is so much fun...a cute daisy, vintage flowers and several other ideas. They were both $ 21 each at the Expo...we got both...We had a great time together and my daughter had her first experience watching ladies carrying tons of bags or the ones that carry their baby and use the stroller to transport all their bags..A lot of times you can be admiring a display and a complete stranger will start sharing all their projects with the same stamp set, cartridge or paper , and that is what is fun at the expo...I proudly ended the evening with just 2 new cartridges...a first for me,  i can't possible bring more paper home...This year is all about using what I have. But we both came home with tons of ideas and full of inspirations...

Butterflies

My fav of the moment are butterflies...I see more and more of them in the craft world. Love the butterfly punch from Martha Stewart and also the butterflies on the "Serenade" Cricut cartridge. 

Love month.

Love the month of February. We had a couple of busy weeks starting the wedding plans.  Cristine and Leif chose the Joseph Smith Memorial for their reception. I like the feeling of a downtown wedding celebration and they like the look and history of the building. The date is July 14th and I feel is not enough time to do every thing that needs to be done. And there is so much to do!

Las Vegas~Fun times

This year for my birthday we went to Vegas for a few days, Not really too many great pics ,when is just the two of us I kind of forget to take pictures. I have mentioned before that we LOVE las Vegas, we don't care about the Casino life, but we go for the Art Galleries, my favorite shoppes, to see a show or a concert, the fab restaurants and to spend a few nights in a nice Hotel and relax. This time we stayed at The Venetian, beautiful and so busy with so many restaurants from well known chefs , we ate at Valentinos and it was a great food experience. The weather was a total delight....

Paper flowers...

A total fascination with paper flowers. have the tools to make them and they are so much fun. They can  be made in all kinds of paper patterns and all kind of sizes and designs. Started to feel crafty again....sigh....it is probably from all that Pinterest inspiration :). I will start collecting some small tree branches, we will have to get rid of one of our trees this spring, sadly enough, but it went into a forever winter look a couple of years ago and this last summer it was just sad to look at it. I will get my small branches from it and the flower making will begin now...

Engaged!

Our family started the New Year with great news as Cristine and Leif announced their engagement. They have been dating for three years and they are both at the AEI (Art Entertainment Engineering) program at the U. Both doing computer animation and have worked together in several projects through their school years at the U. They will be both graduating this year. They are planning on a Summer wedding....and when they get back from Europe they will set the date , yes...did I mention that? His family invited Cristine to travel with them to Denmark to attend the wedding of leif's brother.  The highlight for Cristine will definitive be London...What a year for my girl! 
I feel like on a daze...a couple weeks ago my life was concentrating on my work and career path for 2012 as a new year is always intense for us in the banking industry, on a new front door that David felt in love with for our house...on a short Vegas Getaway for my birthday and now a wedding ...Soooo happy....
