Christmas 09

Cristine and our little friend Leah.
Krystel, Leah and Cristine
Krystel enjoying a rare quiet moment this holiday as her work at the Post office was super busy during the season and as well for Cristine that just got done with finals at the U. I love these moments of sisterhood closeness, all the laughs and the late nights talking...

David's favorite Christmas gift, a book I found for him of Frank LLoyd Wright. He has several architecture books, but this is not an ordinary book, it is a Pop-up book , where some of his most well known work comes to life in a pop-up picture, the most amazing one is the Guggenheim Museum that it is in our itinerary on our spring New York trip.

Our beloved Jasmine...as she gets older every year life is slowing down for our girl. She is content with her small treats, not much appetite for food and long naps through the day. Still exciment from her when is time for a walk, but she seems happier to be coming back to the house instead of a longer walk. She found some comfort this season for her aching bones on my new red rug. So grateful for this beautiful companion and how everyone in the house and also friends seem to spoil her on their very own way.

Festival of Trees

Everything at the Festival of trees is donated. The trees are decorated and purchased by individuals, organizations, families and businesses. Thousand of people join in efforts by contributing countless hours to give " a gift of love" to children in need. The Festival of trees is one of our favorite holiday traditions.

Halloween night...

Halloween is a BIG DAY at our home...David was like a little kid looking through boxes for his beloved pirate costume, and yes! we do have boxes of costumes...Cristine went through all her old prom dresses looking for the just right "Christine from Phantom" costume to go to a Halloween dance at school and for me... just a quiet evening having fun with all the fun little creatures that paraded through our door on this beautiful Halloween night.

Happy Birthday David....

I had a surprise party for David's 50Th birthday. I mailed this cute invitation about 2 weeks ago to our closest friends. he never suspected a thing...Cristine and Gage took him bowling before the party while our friends started to arrive to the party. Everything went really well and he was really happy to see everyone. I think the best part was how most of our friends gave him the funniest gifts, we laughed so hard! It is hard to believe that David is 50...I guess 50 is the new 30, he is so active and so artistic and self motivated to do so many things, he always has a new project going...life is full with David, his loving personality always brings the best out of people. I love been married to him....and I love what a great dad he is to all our kids.

Fall ....in love

Today after our busy Sunday we decided to go for a drive to Cottonwood Canyon . The fall colors were spectacular and as always it was extra special having the girls join us taking time from their busy days.We went up to Silver Lake remembering when all the kids were little and they used to love for us to take them there for walks. The air was refreshing, almost perfect for long sleeves, a few people fishing, just very peaceful. How i love days like today...picture perfect days...

Route 66

Our Hotel in Flagstaff Arizona was in Route 66

Navajo Bridge-Arizona

In our way back to Utah we encountered this bridge that crosses the Colorado River's Marble Canyon. The bridge carries northbound travelers to southern Utah and to the otherwise inaccessible portions of Arizona north of the Colorado River, such as the North Rim of Grand Canyon National Park.

Grand Canyon majestic beauty...

A Road Trip through Las Vegas, Hoover Dam, a night at Flagstaff to end at this majestic place..Grand Canyon was absolutely breathtaking..There is no better way to impress a European tourist than showing off this amazing work of nature.

With my Nikkon i captured these boys pretending to jump off the canyon.

Cristine captured this amazing shot, as always she is fascinated with trees.

A fun memory that we will cherish forever.
