Here comes the sun...

Getting ready for my trip to Chile...I guess just getting more exited as the date gets closer. I'm leaving on March 4. All by myself...Krystel started her first job after college and Cristine is at full blast semester at the U. David will love to go, but time wise is difficult and also super expensive to fly there now...talk about guilt trip on spending all this $$$ on myself... Yes, for all of you interested about the weather it is summer there. I'm not going on a touristic trip, mainly just to spend time with my mom ad family, but of course it will involve the beach and spa, or "Termas" as we call them. My plan is to get to Temuco, my city, and from there just go a few days here and there with my mom. I know for a fact that my family already has plans for my time there, it will relaxing...that is my request. I started to cut sugar off my diet over a month ago, just so I can go and indulge while I'm there on the things I like. Who can resist all our German pastries... yes lots of German culture in the south of Chile and the bread is to die for...literally you can live on bread and Chilean wine and seafood while you are there. For me is the magic of "tea time" in Chile...love the pastries. Did I mentioned this enough times?

This is Valdivia, my favorite city in Chile.

Cake decorating with tia Angie.

Krystel's passion for cake decorating started about a year ago...wow...it is something else...she definitive doesn't get it from me as my idea of cake decorating for a special occasion is directly "a la carte" from Granite Bakery. This weekend Angie was here teaching her how to make roses out of fondant. I watched them both getting the fondant "just right" and twist, twist it turned into a rose..

Happy Valentines with the Utah Symphony and the King Singers.

David purchased tickets for us to go to the Symphony, it was a great idea and I was so happy that he planned something this special for Valentine's. The king Singers performed with the Symphony and they were very entertaining. It was fun to see how different their voices are and how amazing they sound a Capella or with all the instruments. I wonder how will be to have the life of an artist, a violin player or someone so gifted...We love art and music performances of all kinds and often we wonder how amazing it will be to be on a stage performing for so many people night after night.

Madame Butterfly.

I had the pleasure to attend the dress rehearsal last night for Madame Butterfly.
 It was so beautiful.
The cast transported me to a far away place and I felt so emotionally overtaken by their performance.
Romi Beppu’s performance was magical and the scenic and costumes were absolutely fantastic.
Kudos to Ballet West… a display of perfection!
