Gardner Village.

A few pics from our visit to Gardner Village on a Saturday morning. So many beautiful things and owls everywhere!!! Grandma Schmidt is spending a few weekends with us and she is a delight. She loves crafting so this was a very enjoyable morning for her and of course for us.Love all the inspiration at this place...

La Caille -A beautiful day.

We had a great afternoon at La Caille at their Bridal Show. They had tons of great vendors, some that we are already familiar with from Cristine's wedding last year and some new. The colors are bright, no more soft pastel weddings, is all about color...The event included a lunch and we really enjoyed it. Their food was spectacular, everything was serve in a beautiful way. The most important fact is that I got to spend a few hours of fun with my girlies Krystel and Cristine and that was a total treat. Krystel got tons of information and ideas . A beautiful day.

Somos Foundation Gala

This weekend we attended the Somos Foundation Gala at The Grand America. It was such a great evening and we enjoyed the event in the company of friends.  The event is done every year to give college and universities scholarships to Hispanic students, most of them have a 4.0 average and they all share incredible experiences of sacrifice in order to obtain their education. The event is uplifting and the community support for the event is very impressive. I'm including a picture with my dear friend Silvia who co chair the event this year.

This year we decided to attend the Swiss Days in Midway. I really did not know what to expect as I had never attended before, it is  a real treat for all of us crafters and lovers of the handcrafted things. When I see what people are making and so much creativity it brings inspiration to my world !! Krystel, David and I had a lovely afternoon,  we spend the night in Park City after a great dinner at our favorite restaurant in the area and since David needed to go back to work on Saturday Krystel and I did some serious shopping at the Outlets Stores....of course....how can we not add some shopping to our weekend?

Witches Tea Party

Every year my friends Claudia and Julie host a "Witches Tea Party". This year it was eight of us and lost of delicious things with plenty of Halloween decor.

I was "Flora" for the party, that was my Witch name...

A patio corner for beautiful container gardens.

Really enjoyed planting herbs last year in containers.

I love the look and the prettiness of them.

 This year I came across a few containers that I purchased with the intention of creating a colorful flower arrangement of plants as well as some foliage and texture.

Found some ideas at the Home and Gardens magazine.

 Now if just can stop raining so we can play in the yard.

After a week of rain,

to Gardner Village.

It felt really good to be outside and to feel the sun.

Yesterday

I enjoyed a shooping day with my friend Nadia

and she introduced me to this darling little place

 "The Art Garden",

located at 917 Vine Street.

Love the work of local artist and the unique beautiful things that I'm always able to find at places like this.

 Felt in love with this sweet looking little bird

 and we found the perfect spot for him.

Almost Spring time.

I'm currently shopping for some decorative pillows. Just adding some color here and there. Most of all saving and old but dear sofa.

Happy Valentines Day

One of my real treats of Valentines is attending a Ballet West production. This year one of my most beloved Ballet of all time...Swan Lake. I think Tchaikovsky's music score is timeless and this tragic love story of an enchanted princess and a noble prince is perfect..not to mention the evil magician..We attended this event with a dinner and a silent auction to benefit our Utah Ballet company. It was a lovely night and a happy Valentines celebration.

Festival of Trees

Everything at the Festival of trees is donated. The trees are decorated and purchased by individuals, organizations,families and businesses. Thousand of people join in efforts by contributing countless hours to give " a gift of love" to children in need. The Festival of trees is one of our favorite holiday traditions.
