Very Merry...
So much to love about December...some of my favorite things are always handmade and I really enjoy making them...
My Red Room is a disaster at the moment,
because I have several projects going.
I have made several things lately
and all without spending $$.
Just using what I have, but of course I do have a closet full
....of crafty things.

Thanksgivings...heartfelt moments.
We all love the Holidays
mostly because it give us the opportunity
to gather as a family and be together with wonderful friends.
A couple days before, I found a great recipe for "candy jams" and gave it to Krystel since it is her favorite Thanksgivings dish.
Over the weekend we had Angie with us.
Over the weekend we had Angie with us.
My bff that is now living in Chile with her new love
and was here for a visit.
How fun it is to spend all night talking and catching up.
She brought the girls beautiful sweaters from "La Ligua".
A place in Chile that has marvelous artisans
and where handmade things are a must..
So grateful for life and love ones.

A little book for a baby boy.
A baby book is always fun and creative,
even when I have to admit
that baby girls books are much easier to make,
because it is so much pink and cuteness available in the scrapbooking world.
I've been thinking about making this book since I found out that sweet Ashley was having a baby boy.
She send me a pic of a quilt that she was working on a month or so ago with blues and browns and it was somehow and inspiration for the colors of the book.
Can't wait to see it with pictures soon.
Work is so hectic at this time of the year and a few hours at my red-room creating something fun as this is all I need to feel refresh and to clear my mind from it all.

Montage~Deer Valley, Utah
This month for David's birthday
we stayed at the Montage Resort in Deer Valley.
We had a wonderful time and the place was beautiful
with breathtaking views of the valley.
No detail was left out when designing this resort,
it really offers everything,
but the most appealing for me is that sense of peacefulness...
and tranquility..at least for now.
Pretty soon it will have their busy season
...ski season.

Utah Latinos Vol II
This year my picture and Bio
were included in the Utah Latinos Vol II.
A sort of photographic essay of a small group of Latinos.
This site is dedicated to celebrating
the Latino spirit by showcasing a small number of Utahns
who have contributed

A great accomplishment in my professional life.

Girls...
As soon as I see the girls talking and relaxing in our patio
I'm outside with my Nikon...
I'm learning about angles and natural light ,
it is really so much that can be done with the right lens. Beautiful daughters
are a great inspiration for photography.

Ladies retreat 2011
This week is my retreat with my girly friends.
This is with our group of ladies that I've been scrapbooking and card making for about 15 years,
we started our retreat 4 years ago.
First for a weekend,
then we added a day and this year we are going for 5 days...
We are going up to a cabin in Tabiona, Utah.
We are leaving Wednesday morning and our first stop will be Archivers in Orem, from there to Midway for a bit of more fun shopping and then to our final destination.
This picture is of my little project that I'm bringing for all the ladies to make,
it goes in a square black frame,
makes a darling gift..

Art in Pilar's Garden
This much~loved art event is a must
at the beginning of summer
to enjoy Pilar's amazing garden and to support our
local artist community .
Pilar Pobil was born in Mallorca, Spain
and she is an amazing artist,
her world is enchanted by color and beauty.
Every corner of her home tells a story through her paintings.
As we walked through her home and gardens her work is display in a beautiful way.
We had a lovely evening
and happy that Krystel decide to attend with us.
Did I mentioned how cool is the fact
that I share my name with such an amazing artist..

Happy Father's Day..
So blessed with David's gardening skills .
Love how he creates a little secluded paradise for us in our backyard.
Last Saturday we had dinner outside next to our waterfall and it was just perfect.
Flowers are just now starting to grow ,
we also planted a small herb garden and a few tomato plants...nothing big,
mostly for color and taste..
This year we bought new patio lights, a great find at Target, they look amazing at night...
I took these pics with our Nikon at 6 am,
my favorite light of the day for pictures...
just enjoying beauty...
