Yesterday morning we took Krystel to the airport. Where did the years go? Can she be the same girl that I used to take to dance classes and play dates? She is all grown up and so beautiful and determined to do so much in life. She is traveling with her best friend from college, delightful and fun Dorie.

Almost Spring time.
I'm currently shopping for some decorative pillows. Just adding some color here and there. Most of all saving and old but dear sofa.

Earthquake in Chile
How life changes in a second?
i experienced at first hand the fragility of life.
Knowing that life will not go on till we know that our love ones are safe, that they are OK. i was so lucky to get through my Mom that night and even when we were only able to talk for a few minutes it was enough for me to know that she was safe. That was my strenght for the days to came during last week, with not knowing or having any news from so many and just watching the devastation on TV and the Internet. After talking to my family in Chile and hearing from them where they were or how they drove for miles to find out if their families were OK...no phones, no electricity, no water for days....i had a good cry...just so grateful again that they were safe... So grateful for my family and friends for their support and for keeping my family in Chile on their prayers.
I'm not including pictures on this post as they are all so sad...

Happy Valentines Day

One of my real treats of Valentines is attending a Ballet West production. This year one of my most beloved Ballet of all time...Swan Lake. I think Tchaikovsky's music score is timeless and this tragic love story of an enchanted princess and a noble prince is perfect..not to mention the evil magician..We attended this event with a dinner and a silent auction to benefit our Utah Ballet company. It was a lovely night and a happy Valentines celebration.

A new year
A lot goes on for us in January as we have a break from school, birthdays celebrations and a new year in goals from work, education and some personal ones as well. i will like more time with David, more photography and keeping it simple as my life gets so busy with my work and community involvement through the year. My beautiful red room sits on perfect shape as nothing gets out of order as I'm not working on any current project...oh and there is so many ideas that i have in store for my "Red Room Creations" ...winter is a good time to scrapbook, to work on pictures, to get on the artistic crafty mode and to simplify...I'm including a picture of a book that I made for Cristine on her birthday to add her summer fun pictures of 09. The little scrapbook is title " Crazy little thing called Love". The idea came to me during a board meeting and this is to show how exhausted my brain really was at the end of the year and how in times of serious concentration i still keep a part of my mind for some creative outlet, for some design of a little something to give me so much excitement and joy.
